Chinese Blind Box Toy Brand Pop Mart Files for HK IPO

Prospectus shows during the year of 2017-2019, the revenue of Pop Mart was RMB158 million, RMB 515 million and RMB 1.683 billion respectively, with year-on-year increase of over 225% for two consecutive years.
 
Babemax purchased Shanghai ZHIYIYUE for a total price of 55 million Yuan to expand its business in infant toys retail and online retail.
On May 29th, Babemax announced its acquisition of Shanghai Zhiyiyue for RMB 55 million. The latter is the exclusive agent of TOYROYAL, a Japanese toy brand, in mainland China. At this point, Babemax possesses the right of being the brand agency and being authorized to use the IP indefinitely. At present, TOYROYAL businesses covers 46 cities in China and the sales channels include mother & baby stores, department stores, supermarkets and online channels.
 
LEGO opened 12 new stores in May in China. The new Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 sold on Children’s Day.
LEGO and Lamborghini jointly launched LEGO® Technic™ Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 sports car construction model. Customers can buy it at LEGO® Licensed Stores, LEGO® Flagship Stores and LEGOLAND® Discovery Center. Besides, LEGO has opened 12 new stores in mainland China.
