NEW NINTENDO SWITCH SET TO HIT RETAIL THIS FALL

Nintendo is releasing a new version of the fan-favorite Nintendo Switch.

After months of rumors about an upgraded Switch, Nintendo confirmed that it is releasing the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model). This new Switch model features enhanced audio, a vibrant 7-inch OLED screen, and an OLED display that makes gaming crisper and more colorful.

Besides the physical upgrades, the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) has player enhancements across all the different ways you can game. In TV mode, players can set the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) into the dock and play games right on the TV. By using the built-in wired LAN port, players can discover a new way to play on the big screen.

In tabletop mode, players can flip the actual screen back to play multiplayer games using the same system and the two Joy-con controllers included in the box. With a wide adjustable stand, players can tilt and adjust the screen angle to make gaming easier. As always, the system can also be played in hand-held mode and taken on the go.

“The new Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is a great option for players who want to experience the new vibrant screen when playing in handheld and tabletop mode,” Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser said. “With the addition of this new model to the Nintendo Switch family of systems, people have an additional choice of a system that best fits the gaming experience they desire.”

The Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) comes in two color variations, one with white Joy-cons and the other with the more traditional red and blue Joy-cons. The new system will be released on Oct. 8 for $349.99 at major retailers.
