AMAZON HAS ALREADY SOLD 1 MILLION TOYS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
Holiday shoppers are stocking under their trees earlier than ever this year. Amazon has already sold one million toys this season.
The season began on Oct. 4 with Amazon’s launch of various holiday shopping guides, including the 2021 Toys We Love List. Of the one million toys sold, some of the best-sellers so far have been the Melissa & Doug Let’s Play House Play Set, MGA Entertainments’ L.O.L. Surprise! OMG Sports Cheer Competitive Cheerleading Fashion Doll, and LEGO Classic Medium Creative Brick Box – 484 Pieces. More than 70 items on the list are Amazon-exclusive.
To help deliver the holiday spirit, Amazon announced today that it will be hiring 150,000 seasonal workers. This is in addition to the previously announced hiring spree of 40,000 new corporate jobs and 125,000 full and part-time fulfillment and transportation jobs.
Seasonal employees will help support full-time employees at more than 250 fulfillment centers, sortation centers, regional air hubs, and delivery stations that opened this year.
