DISGUISE INKS LICENSING EXTENSION WITH MICROSOFT FOR MINECRAFT FRANCHISE
Characters from Minecraft will continue to have a robust presence in the realm of costumes and role play.
Disguise, the costume division of JAKKS Pacific, renewed its licensing partnership with Microsoft to continue designing, manufacturing, marketing, and distributing costumes inspired by the world’s No. 1 most-downloaded game, Minecraft.
“Minecraft is one of our top-selling brands for all our Halloween licensed costumes and Halloween accessories both domestically and internationally,” says Tara Hefter, President and General Manager at Disguise. “The strength of the brand and the unique characteristics of the in-game characters translate well into costumes, making Minecraft one of the most popular themes for Halloween and dress up. We are excited to continue to reach into new countries and territories in 2023 as we bring on new and exciting characters from the game into the line.”
Disguise says that it plans to extend and grow its Minecraft business on an international level with new styles in the years ahead.
JAKKS Pacific maintains licenses for several top gaming brands from major developers, including SEGA, Nintendo, Microsoft, and more.
