When the shortage of mascots of Beijing Winter Olympics ease?
Mascots (Bing Dwen Dwen and Shuey Rhon Rhon) of Beijing Winter Olympics are out of stock, when will the shortage ease?
About the concern, China Toy and Juvenile Products Association (CTJPA) had interviewed two major licensees.
“ The shortage is mainly caused by previous inadequate stock ”, said one of the Jiangsu licensees, “ and another reason is the holiday of Chinese New Year ”. The factory has resumed work on 8 February. Full recovery of production capacity is expected to take place on 10 February with 2,000 to 3,000 pieces each day.
As for surging orders, the responsible person added that the factory has started increasing new molds and the alleviation of shortage will probably be seen after 15 or 20 days when those molds are used.
